Happy Valley Improv’s week-long summer camps will engage participants with the art of e-prov. Campers will learn how to improvise, work closely with a group of their peers, and perform for an audience of friends and family over Mixer.
This year, Happy Valley Improv will be offering camp virtually over Zoom! Campers will learn to engage in e-prov with their peers.
The summer camps are run by Sam Tanner and Andrea McCloskey.
Sam was a high school English and drama teacher for 15 years in the Twin Cities, before accepting a faculty job with Penn State. He’s directed improvisation with teenagers for 15 years as well.
Andrea is an associate professor of education at Penn State. Both Sam and Andrea were high school teachers before becoming faculty members. They’re also improvisers who perform regularly with Happy Valley Improv, and they have a wealth of experience working with teenagers.
All camp sessions will take place over Zoom.
Dates for 2020 Virtual Summer Camp are June 22nd-26th.
The camp will run from 10am-11:30am each day.
